Photography has been my passion and main interest since the age of eight. Over the years, I've covered most types of photography, but in 2004 I decided on a change of direction. Wonderful capture Rod! I wish they still made signs like this in the U.S.! Many wonderful landmarks are so difficult to find without this type of sign! This is so lovely with the fresh layer of snow! Fantastic detail and texture - the monochrome brings out the detail throughout and far into the distance!

Thank Mary Ann, I really appreciate your kind comments on this image and Im so grateful that you also featured it. There are not so many of these road sign left in the UK now, but on my first holiday to the Isle of Wight in the 1980's, I unfortunately had some fun with them. There were lots of these signs back then and some pranksters had turned many of the signs round so that they pointed the wrong way. It took me the best part of a week to find my way around the island! I know my way round there very well now though and whenever I visit, I often help other tourists with their directions.
