The village is next to the town of St Ives, and Carbis Bay is just part of the much larger, St Ives Bay. The steep road pictured here is Porthrepta Road, which leads down to the small railway station and on to Beach Road, terminating at a beautiful sandy beach. The headland of St Ives is shown beyond the wooded area of Porthminster Point.
