The River Esk and the Marina at Whitby, North Yorkshire, England. This scene was captured from New Bridge; it shows the boat park, Marina, apartments, houses and cottages, many small boats at their moorings and a few larger boats.

High above, on the East Cliff is St Mary's Church and the ruins of Whitby Abbey. From the Marina, the river flows into the Upper and Lower Harbours and then out into the North Sea.
